I am 60 years old.  I am married to Ellen, now for 36 years, and we have four grown children and four grandchildren.  I live in Topeka, KS.  I am a graduate of Kansas State University (BS Finance) and Washburn University of Topeka (MBA).  I am a certified group fitness instructor through Revelation Wellness.

 

I have been employed by Capitol Federal Savings Bank for 37 years.  In 1999 we created a public holding company and have had two stock issuances, the public company is Capitol Federal Financial, Inc.  I have been the Chief Financial Officer since September 2005. I have responsibility for all reporting, accounting, treasury functions, investor relations, records management, and help lead our strategy development, information technology operations and retirement and benefit plans committee. 

 

I enjoy being outdoors.  I have a deep-seated faith in God and work to live that out. I enjoy staying healthy by staying physically fit, following good nutrition habits and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  I have grown fond of reading in recent years. 

 

Over the years I have volunteered in various ways and have found that in many of those roles I have grown.  I have: served on the board or our church, currently serve as chair of the Finance Committee, been elected to the board of the school district our children attended, helped to start a small foundation, served our local United Way in various capacities including chair during the time of a transition in our business model, served as treasurer and campaign manager for a local election (not my own), any other smaller volunteer services.

Greg, Global Head of Sales at IHS Markit leads a team of Sales Executives, Sales Engineers and Inside Sales Associates for their Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solution.  A consultative sales approach is leveraged to focus on business and technology personas across financial services firms (i.e., asset managers, banks, pension funds, etc..) where EDM can create more efficiency within their operating model.    

Mr. Farrington was with BNY Mellon for 20 years as part of their Data and Analytics Solutions business (formerly Eagle Investment Systems LLC), most recently as Head of Sales – Americas. In past sales roles within BNY Mellon, Mr. Farrington worked with large, global organizations to streamline and improve back- and middle-office processing for data management, investment accounting, and performance measurement and attribution.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Mr. Farrington was a sales engineer with Princeton Financial Systems, and previously worked at Scudder Kemper Investments and Investors Bank & Trust Company in operational management roles.

Mr. Farrington earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Merrimack College.  He currently resides in Mansfield, MA with his wife Gail, daughter Tori (20) and son Matthew (18).  If he’s not at work or spending time with family, he can be found on the golf course, the beach in Maine or attending a Patriots home game in the fall.

Scott grew up in central Illinois surrounded by corn field, bean fields, and farm ponds. At a young age, he taught himself the basics of web development pre-.Com era. While at the University of Illinois, Scott leveraged this self-taught skill and continued education to provide independent web development solutions for companies around the Champaign-Urbana area eventually bid on a large .Com project for a start-up in Chicago. After successfully winning that bid, delivering on-time and under budget, this company offered Scott a full-time position while he was still only 20. Scott dropped out of college and seized the opportunity. This opportunity developed into a catalyst for Scott to further expand his business and technology acumen at a pace that exceeded what he would have learned his last two years at U of I. After several years, Scott went on to start his own consulting company, moved to Colorado with his then fiancé, and through a series of interesting twists and turns ended up at Microsoft in 2005.

 

Scott and his loving, beautiful wife Jaime will celebrate their 18th anniversary in November. They have two daughters, Chloe 14 and Cara 12, who both love the outdoors and dancing. They live at 9000 ft. on a beautiful property in the foothills outside of Denver, CO.

 

Scott enjoys hiking, mountain biking (just learning), backpacking trips, and hunting. He and his family are regularly outdoors, celebrating life together, and giving back to the community as often as they can.

 

Today, Scott is a Strategic Client Executive at Microsoft, where he is responsible for setting strategy, developing Executive relationships, and leading a team of 40+ high-caliber employees in support of one of Microsoft’s strategic partner/customer relationships.
